Emissaries

Opaque purple blobs of some type of tangible energy, Emissaries were Dovar the Lightbringer's eyes and ears, traveling across Akhentour to speak with the leaders of the cities around the land. They shaped themselves into humanoid forms and dressed in all white, like Dovar, to help assimilate themselves into humanoid culture.

Oren was the other Emissary with Manod (they traveled in pairs generally). Oren returned to Dovar’s service after Manod’s free will got a little out of control. He was destroyed by Talmuq at the Battle of Atren’s Calling.

Free Emissaries (Freefolk)

[edit | edit source]

Manod and a couple dozen emissaries were able to free themselves from Dovar’s grasp, becoming Free Emissaries in the process. In exchange, they are now mortal and have much less power than they did as vessels of Dovar.

Manod

[edit | edit source]

Manod is an Emissary who severed his connection with Dovar in exchange for free will. He is a thorn in Glendower’s side, but he presumably means well? Manod was killed by a spell-suggested Glendower, but his sacrifice was needed to “tune” the Orb of Tiamat to summon a Warden.

Farok

[edit | edit source]

The de facto leader of the Free Emissaries following Manod’s death.

Tavkor

[edit | edit source]

The only Free Emissary to survive the Battle of Atren’s Calling.
