Dwarven city in Blindwelder Territory, next to the Northern Enclave, Underdark.

Pop. 8,000. 95% dwarves, 3% duergar, 2% everything else

Naozenar is a large city built into the wall alongside the Descent, a steep decline to the Basin of the Northern Enclave. Around 90% of the city is inside the rock, while the other 10% represents the Traveler’s Post, a section of rock jutting out from the wall on which the ward rests, directly in the pathway down into the Basin. As with most dwarf cities, Traveler’s Post is where the “non-dwarves” usually congregate.

Naozenar is part of the Bellwinder Territory, which itself is subject to the Goldwater Kingdom, a large dwarven kingdom in the north (as opposed to the Diamondteeth Kingdom, which is the one to the south). Naozenar’s governor is Altus Blindwelder, 33rd generation Blindwelder to govern the area.

Naozenar is best known for mining the precious metals that make up the coinage in Dorian. The Descent itself is littered with thick veins of gold and silver, and the Blindwelder dwarves have dug deep and extensive mines within the wall. Many of these mines, once the veins are tapped, become extensions of the city itself.
