Due to the nature of many of my old games taking place in lands that had yet to be consolidated into the world of Avo, the lore of those games can and will often clash with the lore of later games.

As a general rule to establish canonical structure, any lore pre-Consolidation (PreC, when the various games became the world of Avo) is considered pseudo-canon, meaning it contains material that might be canon, unless post-Consolidation (PostC) material contradicts it, in which case, the PostC material will be the canonical material.

Chalk it up to bad Storybearer historical accounts.
