Dear Ms. Redfang,
We have just returned from retrieving the final ingredient for the special fried chicken recipe of Jensen (which I will not divulge in writing as per the non-disclosure agreement we signed with Jensen before starting off). The travels in the forest was generally uneventful, but we were only able to gather 2/3rds of the required materials.
After a bit of scouting we came upon the goblin camp that was giving Jensen a hard time in his gathering. They had two patrols around the camp that were comprised of goblins and their worg mounts. Their camp seemed to have more of the specimen growing in the path of these patrols.
We took to the trees and bushes in order to draw the patrols away and take any out that might come our way. I was able to use a minor illusion to create the sound of a large dragon roaring above the trees. The patrols scattered about, frightened and interested in hunting the imaginary beast.
We were able to dispatch the few bits of the patrols that came our way with a combination of trickery on the part of Enna and a bit of disguise magic implemented by myself.
We collected a few more plants around the camp, but we were still short. I thought using my disguise to it’s full effect, I made my way to the camp and found that they were cultivating the plant as a crop. I tried a bit of trickery in order to draw the farmers away from the crops, but it was unsuccessful….
In hearing my cries of pain the rest of the group joined the fray that was started by the attack. A very large Worg was patrolling the area and attacked as well. The being could speak in our minds. Enna recognized the beast as a fiend who eat goblins. It was strange to find them patrolling a goblin camp. Enna informed us that it took fire to engulf it fire to banish it back to it’s plane of existence. Dren used his fire breath to send it back to wherever the beast came from.
While regrettably we had to kill a few of the farmers in order to gather the rest of the required plants and then some! We returned the goods to Jensen and were rewarded handsomely for the extra goods. All and all I feel it was a very successful mission!
Sincerely,
Umara Besorus
